Lee Niemandt

PERSONAL TRAINER |SPINNING INSTRUCTOR | PRE- AND POST-NATAL

After completing her first Comrades Marathon in 2010, Lee realised that she had found her calling and immediately knew what she wanted to do with her life. Her dream soon became a reality as she began to change her own lifestyle in order to live fit and healthy.  She then realised she wanted to help others also to achieve their fitness goals and YourTrainer was established, thereby turning her passion into her new fitness business where she could help others to find their way to a better and healthier lifestyle.

Lee has since completed three Comrades Marathons as well as a half-Iron Man and many other marathons and triathlons.  She also has her eye on participating in the full Iron Man in the very near future.

After qualifying and completing her personal training qualification, Lee has been actively working with people, in and outside of the gym, assisting them to lose weight, through effective fitness development, where clients gain strength and learn to live healthily.

Lee truly enjoys seeing so many clients excel at their fitness goals through her guidance and assistance.

Lee also has a passion for professional sport and this has led her to begin working with the Gauteng Cricket Association. She has regularly worked there for the last five years with the high-performance squad as a contract coach, assisting in core strength training, stretching techniques and she also provides sports massage therapy to the squad.

Lee is a qualified sports massage therapist, an accredited spinning instructor as well as being a certified pre- and post-natal fitness trainer.  She also has a passion for nutrition and has attended several workshops and seminars on the topic.

Her motto: “Whatever your goals, I can assist you in making it a reality.”.

Colette Nell

PERSONAL TRAINING | PILATES | PRE- AND POST-NATAL TRAINING

Colette is a qualified full-time Pilates instructor and has been teaching for 6 years.

She completed her BASI mat teacher training course, BASI Pilates for injuries and Lyno meets Pilates course as well as a personal trainer course. She also works hand in hand with a physiotherapist to strengthen and correct injuries through Pilates.

Her passion for teaching Pilates is evident. It will challenge those that already lead an active lifestyle as well as those that are recovering from injuries or just want to start with some form of activity. The beauty of Pilates is that it can be applied to all ages.

She has always enjoyed an active lifestyle and believe the body is designed to move and with correct training, we can teach it to function at its optimal level. She has also completed the two oceans ultramarathon, two half ironman’s and competed in skydiving on national level.

Michael Mc Donald

PERSONAL TRAINING | BODY SCULPTING | NUTRITION

From humble beginnings as a child and as a 9year old boy with bad eating habits and hyperactivity, Michael slowly started to become interested in exercise and eating healthy. It wasn’t long before he realized he had a great passion for living a healthy lifestyle. What followed after that change was a never-ending journey of sports, he excelled in sprinting, cross country running, was a single figure provincial golfer, provincial squash player, an amazing road cyclist just to mention a few!

Michael joined the SA Air Force as an instructor in the early 1990s during his national service and what he learned about discipline, hard work and dedication were invaluable.

Because of his passion for keeping himself fit and leading a healthy lifestyle, it seemed completely natural for him to pursue a career in the fitness industry. After he completed his studies he has been helping people reach their health and fitness goals for more than 15 years.

Michael got married in 2008 to the most amazing life partner, that shares the same passion for fitness as he does. She is a Pilates instructor and also loves weight training.  He is very grateful to have her constantly supporting him in all his life ventures.  He is also a very proud father of a very bright, active 7year old daughter

Michael has been a competing bodybuilder for 12 years & was sponsored athlete by EVOX advanced nutrition for 7 years.

Daniel Cronjè

PERSONAL TRAINING | SPECIALIZED NUTRITION | LIFE COACHING

Daniel has always been passionate about being active from an early age he participated in various sports including; rugby, cricket, tennis, swimming, athletics and functional training. He matriculated in 2017 with distinction and has a passion for knowledge. He took a gap year in order to equip himself with a greater understanding of fitness. His comprehension of fitness is now holistic and encompasses every aspect of life.

His ultimate goal is to influence those around him to lead a healthy lifestyle and to pass on the skills and knowledge he has acquired.

Daniel is qualified as a level 2 first aider and is enrolled at Tri-focus fitness academy where he has studied a;

Furthermore, Daniel is studying Bachelor of Education (FET) full time at WITS University. His training philosophy is: Fitness goes beyond what you do in the gym.

Katharina (Kate) von Ketelhodt

INJURY PREVENTION | OPTIMAL NUTRITION AND FITNESS

Katharina (Kate) von Ketelhodt has always enjoyed sports from a young age due to her active family. She has participated in a vast variety of activities ranging from soccer, hockey, tennis, basketball, athletics, swimming, and mountain biking to snowboarding.

When she started Rock Climbing in 2012, it wasn’t just the sport that was fun; there were multiple factors which made it interesting: Different body positioning on the walls, demanding high Fitness levels that are required, Nutrition, Equipment usage, Injury prevention, Mental health, Peak performance as well as being outdoors in Nature.

After school, Katharina completed South Africa’s most Extreme Gap Year, called Warriors. As even months program where leadership abilities, physical endurance, mental attitude, tenacity and group dynamics are being tested and developed to equip students for the challenges that they will face in the real world.

Katharina has proved herself as a focused and extremely motivated human being. Although well-mannered, sensitive to people and her surroundings, she is a quiet leader with a strong sense of inspiring people through her attitude and values.

Katharina is full of energy, living every moment with a sense of excitement and adventure.

This extreme experience made her study Fitness at ETA College in Johannesburg, where she successfully graduated with a Merit Diploma in 2015.

Katharina strives for excellence in training her clients by teaching them the tools they need to maintain their desired goals.

Katharina believes in a holistic approach which includes Injury Prevention, Optimal Nutrition and Fitness. With a well-balanced lifestyle anything is possible, whether it is your career or private life.

Kirsten Blend

PERSONAL TRAINER | SPORT SPECIFIC TRAINING | CONDITIONING

Sport and exercise fanatic, Kirsten spends a large amount of hours training to be the best, well rounded triathlete she can be. Having said that she has pushed herself beyond limits that she never thought possible, only to continue raising the bar in setting even bigger goals for herself and finally reaching them.  

“There is no better feeling or reward than just that and being the best version of me. Iv come to learn that nothing is possible without your own dedication and commitment to being consistent in training and recovery, coaches are there to provide the ingredients but YOU are the MasterChef of your own results. It’s really a simple choice to make if you want something badly enough.”

Kirsten is just as passionate about helping other people achieve their goals and smashing them to become the best version of themselves too, no matter what his/her fitness goal is.

To name a few successes of her sporting career; she has achieved provincial level playing in outdoor and indoor netball during and after school years, watercolor, swimming, touch rugby and outdoor and indoor soccer. With the start of her endurance sport/triathlon career she has won her age group at the miway Ultra triathlon sprint events in Johannesburg and cape town and having placed 2nd female overall in both, placed 2nd female overall at the 70.3 distance triathlon ; Race to Standford and with a very close age group win at Ironman 70.3 in Dubai beginning of 2019, she fractured her femur just 5 km’s from the end of the run leg not being able to continue but is now coming back a year later, more passionate as ever to continue a personal success story in the top of age group half ironman racing.

Qualified as a sport and exercise specialist and an Ironman triathlon coach. Her areas of expertise include; sport specific training, general strength and conditioning, prehabilitation and long term rehabilitation programs, sports coaching science, swimming, cycling, running and triathlon training (multisport coaching), nutrition and Pilates.

A thought to keep in mind: nothing truly great came from staying in a comfort zone. Get comfortable with being uncomfortable

Jeff Lunsky

PERSONAL TRAINER | FITNESS COACH | SPORT SPECIFIC TRAINING

Jeff has been involved in the fitness industry since 1986.

A strength and conditioning, and physical training specialist, his work has ranged from taking classes in commercial gyms to training elite and National sportsmen and women. He was the Highveld Lions Cricket fitness trainer for 24 years. During that time and since, he has also trained most of South Africa’s top squash players, and trained many of South Africa’s elite rugby, soccer, tennis, hockey, beach volleyball, rowing, golf and touch rugby players.

As an optometrist specialising in sports vision, he has worked with martial artists, rally drivers, cyclists and athletes, as well as children with concentration problems, accident victims, and others who benefit from training the brain-body link, visual and motor skills.

Jeff does creative and energising strength and strength-endurance training to promote his longevity and extends this to his clients. He works with all ages and fitness levels to prove that age, and lifestyle constraints, are no barrier to improving wellbeing and quality of life.

Kuku Edeling

PILATES / PERSONAL TRAINER / SPINNING INSTRUCTOR / PRE- AND POST-NATAL

Kuku has been working in the fitness industry for over 20 years and has a wealth of experience in group and private training. 

She has a passion for people and teaching them to strengthen their bodies. Getting older doesn’t mean getting weaker. Kuku is in her 60’s, yet feels stronger and more comfortable in her body now than 30 years ago. Being a mother and grandmother is physically taxing and maintaining core strength and stability enables her to keep up with her energetic grandson. She loves seeing people develop an understanding of their bodies and grow in confidence as they get stronger and healthier. 

Her qualifications include the international Johnny G spinning certification, Pilates qualification through Trifocus, aqua-aerobics and various other fitness qualifications in different disciplines through Virgin Active. She is also qualified and experienced in teaching pre- and post-natal exercises.
